February 22, 2008, Newsletter Issue #104: Burger King Scholarship Program Rewards Working Students

Tip of the Week

Each year, hundreds of $1,000 Burger King Scholars Program awards are granted to graduating high school seniors through the non-profit Burger King/McLamore Foundation. The scholarship guidelines are published each September, and winners are notified during the spring.

Eligibility requirements include: minimum grade point average of 2.5, part-time employment (15 hours per week at least 40 weeks per year), community or extra-curricular involvement, recommendation from school official, and recommendation from employer. Additionally, scholarship recipients must plan to enroll in a two-year, four-year, or vocational technical school upon graduation from high school.

Burger King sponsors scholarship programs in the United States, Canada, and France.
